How Bees Are Helping Barnton Bunker Grow

Barnton Bunker is best known for its Cold War history, underground tunnels and ongoing restoration, but there’s another story growing on site. Last week, volunteers joined Gino, our bee consultant and Scottish Expert Beemaster from Simply Honey Co, for a hands-on session with the bunker’s bees. The hives support the local ecosystem, give volunteers the chance to learn practical beekeeping skills, and help raise vital funds through Bunker Honey for the restoration of this remarkable Edinburgh heritage site.
